Its not an easy task to remove the head. Expect 2 days with all the tools in the world.

If its like the KA_E you will have to unbolt the support for the intake, and let the intake sit against the fender, then un-bolt everything else. MARK YOUR VACCUM HOSES BEFORE REMOVAL

IMPORTANT stuff a piece of wood or something inbetween the timing chain so it doesnt drop down inside the block...otherwise you'll have to spend all that time figuring it out afterward. Same with the cams. Don't turn the cams unless you really really need to.

Also look into replacing all gaskets, intake, exhaust, as well as the head. May as well while you are in there.
