A reason other than looks to get pedals...to drive.

I personally want a set of pedals that will allow me to heel and toe my downshifts.  I can watch my feet while standing still and the outside of my right foot just barely misses the gas pedal, like it was intended to be that way (and probably was).  In dress shoes with a wide sole I can almost do it, but very unreliably, and when I do I have so little foot left on the brake that I'm very nervous it's going to slip off.  So basically I need new pedals that make the gas a bit wider with a flare at the bottom to accomodate some more serious driving.  Cosmetic apprearance comes second, though a very close second.

Any recomendations?  I had planned on the pedal set DSC has, but now am having second thoughts.
