While you're replacing the pistons and rods. You might as well replace any worn out gaskets and piston rings just in case while you're in there. Clean out the valves and do whatever you can to make that engine look and run as good as new with some brand spankin' new OEM parts. Clean, clean, clean! Have fun. It sounds like a fun project.
