I had a red civic do something similar. I was comming home from work just chillin, going maybe 2 or 3 over with cruze on in the right hand lane...music up as much as I could have it w/out the speakers crackling (stock) windows down...just chillin...anyway, this little rice boy comes up and rides my tail up until his exit. Gets over to exit and I guess downshifts and let out his killer bees. Its was the funniest (car related) thing I had ever seen. He just floors it down the straight part of his exit (now maybe 2 car lengths ahead of me, haha...i'm still on cruze) and it was just the ricyest bumble bee sound ever.
What really shocked me is that it came out of no where. Its was like mostly quiet and then all of a sudden BZZZZZZZ!
Ahaha, people like that are total idiots.
