Considering you said you jumped it and it didnt work, it rules out the battery. I had a similar problem on my 240 and that was just a busted connecter to the starter. However i didnt have a problem with these interior lights turning on and off. As mentioned above....check your fuses. Also you might wanna check your ignition and related grounds. If the lights arent turning on in the ON position it could be crappy grounding to the ignition switch.
