Add pulling pressure to that nut, just a little, so it grabs on the next thread. Remember which bolt that nut went on. Clean the threads on both nut and bolt with tap and die, and a washer when you put it back on. Or get a replacement oem bolt and nut.

But, if you can't get the valve cover off you should have someone else do it.
Preferably, someone with a masters in ass-wiping.
