That is a lot of money. I say do it yourself w/ some help from knowledgeable people and get a great learning experience while your at it. hell just today I pulled my exhaust manifold and turbo off for some gasket replacements. Anyway its not that bad and doing it yourself would also allow you to not have to keep running to a shop and paying someone else to fix some of the easiest stuff and charge you up the ass for it. What I did today took like 5-6hrs and parts ran me like $40 bucks. Imagine if I took it to a shop to do that would be like $450-$500 in labor.
