Yes. Correct. In fact, many Japanese tuners don't use them because they are a source of leaks and running problems. No one has yet proven that a BOV extends the life of the turbo in any significant manner. For example, if a normal turbo lasts 100k, and the BOV makes it last 102k...do you really care? That's the "safety" we're talking about here. The BOV is mostly for sound purposes.
