Okay, here's a question I don't seem to get a straight answer for. I'm a relative newbie and I don't know all the details about car engines...
Normally, (not counting rotary engines, those things give massive HP for just a little displacement), the higher the engine displacement the more power the engine has, right? A 5.0 Mustang will give out more power than a 1.0 GeoMetro any day, right?
Okay, so it seems to me that a 2.4 KA with a turbo should put out more power than the 1.8-2.0 SR20DET, and that the 2.4 should be able to handle more HP than the SR20DET before blowing up.
But then I see a ton of people sticking SR20DET's in their cars. Is it just because that engine is designed better?
