well what i do is rev it up to 2.5k - 3k then just drop the clutch.</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>
Yeah, it does put more wear on your clutch this way but gets the most power down faster; usually when people are trying to launch (ie 1/4, street racing) they're willing to put a bit of wear onto the clutch to get that extra bit of power...
BTW: if you're talking about side-stepping the clutch (sounds like it) this puts a huge shock load onto the clutch; which is worse? It's a toss up.
