Rivets will hold it in place alot better than just bondoing it in.

Honestly tho, if your gonna run rear over fenders, you might as well do it right by cutting the stock fenders and having all the room in the world. What we did with my roomates car is this...we cut the outter panel roughly 2 inches up. Once you do that, you basically have a gap between the inner panel and the outer. Pull the inner up and weld it into the outer piece. Cut and smooth out the over lapping pieces (doesnt have to be pretty since itll be covered by the overfender). Rivet the overfenders and you can bondo it to smooth it out if you want.
