tyler you are correct. an SR swap would be ok.
the most important thing now is safety equipment. they will NOT let anyone race without the minimum safety equipment like:
belts
seat back brace (for non 1 piece race seats)
fire bottle
8 point cage constructed of suitable material
window net
kill switch
proper numbers sizes and placement with logos too
transponders (some regions required)
sunroof bolted down
steering lock disabled
there is probably some more but thats all that comes to mind right now.
