Okay, perhaps a bit abrasive. Here is where a search function would make the world a friendlier place. I think I was annoyed from your topic title on. This isn't exactly a new invention that escaped us all, so you came across as some kid who didn't know what he was talking about. If that is inaccurate, my condolences. Despite your little rant, I'm still feeling generous.
The "sequential shifter" will not increase the performance of your car unless you shift poorly - which can be fixed with practice. As stated above, you will still need the clutch. If you can't shift as fast as you can floor and release the clutch, keep practicing. I assure you magazine testers who get the 0-60 times can - so while you won't see any absolute improvement, maybe it will work as a crutch for your lack of skill. At $900, I could do two mods that would net me dyno proven hp that would equate to absolute improvement. The point is that it is not a functional upgrade.
As for fitment, you will want to make sure that there are no issues with the KA casing mating up to it. Otherwise, you will need an SR tranny casing... which is about as bad as needing an SR-swap b/c it won't match up to the KA casing. Swapping an SR will, however, give you better performance w/ the IKEA shifter.
Finally, do you really think that a goddamb Rice-lever is going to reduce your 0-60 times by 2.2 seconds?! Do you know how fast that is? Here's some examples: Mustang Cobra, BMW M3 Coupe, 911 Carrera-4. I don't think there is much you can do short of extensive work on a TC car that will reach that plateau.
