Send a message via AIM to downshift_sideways
Check all your ground wires.
Check your starter, make sure the positive terminal is connected good, and that the ground on your starter is in place aswell.

check your grounds to your chasis.

sounds like its just battery wires not connected. no power going to the starter to even turn.
