The point of that exhaust hanger though is to help out the exhaust manifold. Those things are not exactly routine maintainence and if they are then that is a motorsport I wish to someday become a part of (a lot of actual serious motorsports).
The director of Audi once commented that the 24hours of Lemans would be the equivalent of 100 thousand street miles with no maintainence done.
