No, firesuits are optional of course. I am married now and we are trying to have our first child right now, so i have had to outfit my car with serious protection. Then again, i am more serious about track as my skills and knowledge improve. It can take a few minutes for anyone to reach you if you roll your car, so for me and for the racers we sponsor, a suit and extinguisher in the car is mandatory.

It was more like 14 hours total driving. It sucked.
But it was worth it.
There are track days all the time, just visit the track websites to check their schedules, and which clubs are booked. There is a Time Attack at Button Willow next weekend.
