pretty much - it moves the joint on the inner rod outward increasing the angularity of the rod... the more of an angle the rod is on - the more affect the car compressing down has on the steering alignment (toe and such)
so its like when u hit a weird dip in the road or turn hard - the car will squat or roll and turn the wheel some...
its worse if ur rods run uphill bc ur slammed without spacers on the outer ends (i was like that a while and it SUCKED hitting dips on the highway.)
