well, I belive the stock 1/4 is around 16.5(depending on driver and location), so I think you're dead on....of course, you should feel pretty good, because the people who test out the cars are pretty much professionals...
I went one of the local tracks(crappy) this last friday as well. 15.8, which really sucks for me, because I did better the last time I went, (to a different, better track), and this time I know my car is faster...yet I got a slower time? crappy tires, crappy track. I raced a SI, which ran 15.5, and he said at the different track, he was running 15.3, and he has cams this time, so he agreed that the track is a little slow(no traction).
can't wait to go to the better track again, I was really expecting 15.3ish.
