Oh lol almost forgot about that, yes, after the big bank there's a back straight, to a chicane, it's moderately fast, be really careful in the chicane because right after it drops altitude and turns left I believe. Don't go into it real hot thinking youre gonna smoke everyone by going straight through the chicane, because with the altitude drop and hard turn, most people end up slamming the brakes and understeering off into the dirt.
Not that you'll be hurt or anything, but you'll be red in the face embarassed.
Again, if you sign up for a beginner class, or they have warm up laps in the morning, you'll see all of this and know what to look out for. Just remember, only go as fast as YOU feel comfortable. Try and find someone in the run group that has a similar car / power and has been there before, and line up behind them. You'll learn a LOT by watching their line.
First time at SOWS I got lumped in Advancedd (WTF) in a stock KA with coilovers and st115 tires. Other guys in the class had Porsches, Corvettes, Evos. Well, I was just sweating bullets and nervous because I was holding up these guys the whole time, eventually I was watching my mirrors so much to let them by, I went too fast into the big bank and understeered off course (where I hit my tranny). Lesson learned, now I never look in my mirrors.
