Pretty much it's a combination of things.

B&M shifter makes noise when there's a lot of vibration in the driveline.

SR's and KA's both have mad driveline vibration on deceleration. This is dampened out by a stock organic disc sprung clutch and the stock driveshaft bushing. Anything different creates vibration. If you combine this with stiff motor mounts, it becomes worse. 6 pucks are notorious for creating noise and are the major cause of the vibration.
