Tyler Durdan is an unknown quantity at this point
I ran into the same problem on my driver's side speaker (up front).  I just took some lubricant (can of grease found at any local Autozone) and a toothpick.  I dipped the toothpick in the lube, then just squeezed down and made a circle around the screw...did the trick.  Where are you located at Natty?  If it's anywhere near me, I'd be happy to give a fellow 240 owner a hand...I am only offering cuz you posted on my topic earlier about the project taking you a while.
