I have the Ebay adapter plates in the front of an S13. They lined up really well. I was impressed for el cheapo stuff from Ebay.
I used the flattest 6.5" speakers I could find. They ended up being Sony Xplode. I also used the 6.5" thin baffles from Crutchfield. They fit great. No clearance issues on the manual windows.
Sound quality is very good for what it is. I'm running just 2 speakers and a headunit. No amps no subs no rear speakers.
