1.5 way diffs do not cost 600 bucks less than 2 way diffs. Hell, I'd like to see a shop that even stocks 1.5 way diffs, most don't because it's pointless. That is, if you're going to get a clutch-type LSD, then you might as well go for the most agressive setup there is, because you want it to lock, and lock hard. I daily drive a 2-way diff, and it's no problem whatsoever. It pops and clunks when making slow speed turns, but it's no big deal.
If you're not going to track your car, then why bother getting a 2-way diff? If anything, find a VLSD, or just leave it alone.
