this all depends on how warped your head is.
and when taking it to a shop you need to consider how they are going to straighten it out. the most common method is to bolt it to a plate and then heat it up in a oven. this isnt a very good way to do it, as it takes the hardness out of the metal. the way we do it at my shop is to use isolated head to relieve the stress in necessary spots, they should never have to raise the heat at any one point to above 300 degrees.

yup thats rigth and if its a ka dont never let the car over heat more than 4 times with it to the h. i did and now i gotta pay for the warped head was very lil warped was fixed but still coulda just payed for a headgasket and went on.also so i dont have to start a new theard anyone know how head studs could get bent. could they bend by over heating mine was bent and had to be replaced ive never heard of this but it happened.
