my .02 cents.. if you car is factory white.. either ivory white or regular white (not sure on exact name) paint it that color.. i would do this as you retain the car as close as factory as possible.. it can always help you with resale later.. rather then painting it another color that will never match fully.. unless you're spending some major $$ for a complete paint job.. strip it to last bolt and re-spay in-out.. plus this way you can simply shoot it outside and perhaps even save some money..

just remember.. a freshly painted car correctly even factory color will look amazing in contacts to your 17 year old paint.. so you will still be satisfied.. this of course is just mine opinion, its your car and you should paint it whatever color you like!
