If I had the opportunity to do that, I would strip the motor down to the long block and rebuild it back up. If you have money, you can tear down the block as well, but that's up to you.

I would definite rebuild/upgrade the intake and exhaust manifold. Completely redo the timing, water pump, and oil pump.

Also don't forget to redo your turbo coolant lines and heater hoses as well. Those are a pain to do when the motor is in.
