That hose goes to the idle control valve. You need to retain that connection with your fabricated piece. Just drill a hole in the intake pipe right before the t-body which is the same diameter as the hose coming off from the ICV. Then take the same I.D. (inner diameter) pipe and cut an angle at one end then weld it to the intake pipe. Nice clean sealed welds now, no chicken shit! Dont want a small hidden leak.
