long shifter solutions

I'm trying to replace my stock s14 shifter with somthing along the lines of long shifter.
I'd like to retain the stock shift distance, and most likely go with either

a) a good long throw shifter such as something like this, but for 240's:

If there is a comparable product for 240's pls let me know.
This is a bit more absurd, and im not so sure it would work:

or

b) get a nismo shifter that has close to stock shift distances, and a longer shift knob. I would rather not get one of the Bubble knobs, as they seem to have a more notorious rep of breaking in half.
there are a couple long shift knobs i'm considering, but the ones that are extraordinarily longer are limited.
here's another equally ridiculous suggestion for a shift knob. may or may not work better than the bubble knob;

I've tried to do some research here, but the info i could find was a bit more limited. There are a lot of resources on short shifter.

Someone in the last post mentioned something about using an earlier silvia S12 shifter. It sounds like an interesting idea. How many of us have actually done that?

Any feedback would be great, tia!
