Well if you're looking to actually compete, id prob look into setup that's rebound and compression adjustable, and revalved for higher spring rates. that way, you can gradually fine tune your setup more accurately, according to your preferences.

unfortunately, the such coilovers dont come cheap. I think the cheapest one out there, if its released, is that $1900 stance coilover. custom rates can be ordered too which is great. but being overeseas would make that difficult. the next would prob be the $2300 tein RE's w/ 10k/8k rates and an external resovoir. I know you said you dont like tein, and neither do i, but that is a tempting price for what if offers. after that, setups like the 3-way adjustable koni 28's would prob run you $3500 and may need to be rebuilt more often than street coilovers. most likely valved for a very wide and high range of spring rates. I think someone on this site who tracks their car competitively runs the 28's in their s13 iirc.

then again, if you're just doing occasional track driving and dd'ing your car, Id suggest getting a good set of street coilovers like the tanabe sevens with the 10f/8r rates, maybe get an additional set of 8f/6k rear swift springs, and call it a day. thats what i'm prob going to end up throwing on my s14 as well.

for reference, i don't compete. i like taking my car to the track 3-6 times a year for time trial and driving school events. I also dd my s14 in los angeles, so rates like 10/8 even with soft rebound/compression settings wouldn't be optimal imo.
i have 375f/500r (similar to 8/10) rates on my beater crx on ots konis set at full soft. it rotates excellent, but the rates are too high b/c the car hops all the time when the road surface gets a little uneven.
