You should have two starter connections, a large wire/cable with an eye hoop crimped to the end, this fastens down onto the solenoid via a nut. Next to the nut, there is a slip on post, a small guage black wire, with a plastic clip connector slips on here. If this is not connected, the starter motor will not turn over.
