i had the same problem, and I fixed it.
i thot i had to reset the ecu buh i was too lazy to do it, one day i was at my friends house, and left my key on the ON position so that we can listen to music.  When I finally left, the check engine light went away.  I guess all you gotta do is leave it on the ON position for a while, and it will re-set itself.  Make sure that your temp sensor is connected properly though.
