The deal is that the safc and a wideband are two completely different tools. The wideband just monitors your a/f and I would say is a safe thing to have no matter what you plan on doing to your car. Think of it as something as essential as a water temp gauge. Some might disagree but if you monitor your gauges its very nice to know where you stand because even a car tuned with an EMS will run differently depending on the weather and other variables. Now there is no problem using both as they are two different tools. The issue with only running an SAFC is what is your form of timing control and what kind of motor are you running. Many people use them with flashed or ROM ecu's as a fine tuning tool and for that it does the job just fine. Now if you just went and slapped a turbo on your KA and plan on doing all tuning with your afc then youre in for a rude awakening as you have no control over timing.
