Ok this can be debated for a long time about every aspect but in the long run a ka24de has usally less miles and will last a little longet then a sohc due to less strain for the power it does give and so forth.It is a good engine so dont get me wrong but like fresh240sx said mod for mod a cam in a dohc will benifit more then a cam in a sohc.You can get a ka24de for like 500.00 or if some has done a swap for everything is like 500.00.And you donrt need alot to do a swap just an engine puller it ithe biggest thing.But you can usally find one of those at a store and buy it of a place might rent it out to you.
