Sorry to get somewhat ot, but i'm actually looking for a new shifter with stock throw distances. initially i was set on the nismo shifter. however, it seems like the C's are a bit cheaper than the Nismo units. if thats the case, the C's would prob be a better buy.
back on topic. to the OT, try throwing back on your stock shift knob onto the C's shifter and see if that helps. At the very least you'll find out whether it was the new shiftknob or the actual shifter (or a bit of both) that contributes to the height of the overall shifter setup. BTW - thanks a lot for the info! coincidently, i happen to be very interested in long shifter, and i like the idea of rubber based shiftknob. one man's trash is another's treasure I guess.
