This is something I've never understood the concept of. Why on earth would someone want to black out their headlight?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking shots at the ricer trend of blacking all clear glass/plastic out, but even in motorsports... particularly japanese motorsports, their headlights are often blacked out.
Thing is, at the same time, their lights are (often) on-- so all you see is a little orange/yellow glow... Why? is this so it doesn't hurt other drivers' eyes while still making their own vehicle more visible, or what?
