RB20 possible inj resistor???

HELP! Pweez.

I have done alot of RB swaps, but always jus left this thing hooked up cause my harnesses were in good shape and I figured leaving these alone was my best bet, but recently I installled mine and my friend's and this thing and It's plug were hacked off of our harness already.....

It is a little silver box with two thick wires(one black, one white) coming out of it and two holes to mount/ground it. It is about 1/2" thick, 4"long, and 1.5" wide. I usually leave it attached to the harness and jus attach it to the strut tower with a 10mm.

I got both of our cars running and didnt stress this thing just assuming it was something for some un engine related item... Now, I go on e-gay and there is a pic of the damn thing for sale, and it says (injector resistor box...) IS THIS THING REALLY AN INJ RESISTOR!!!??? Our cars run fine, with the wires that went to this thing just dangling loose and taped up (seperately ofcourse), but am I gonna fry my ECU??? I assumed RB20 ECUs were fine with the high impedence injectors that are in em without a resistor....otherwise putting other inj in em would be a simple matter of removing this box.....

Point is, is it OK to not have this box??? Do yall know what it is for? My car seems happy, but am I frying my inj driver jammies?
