Actually, the bumper covers were completely different 240SX vs. Silvia in '97-'98.  The Japanese bumper was smoother and the front park/turn lights wrapped around the side.

The front lip spoiler we didn't see in '97-'98 (except as a dealer option) was a standard item on European and Australian models (200SX) which used the same bumper we had.
