So you pulled the sprocket down (off the cam) and couldn't get it back up on the cam (because the cam chain tensioner was still on, and pulled the cam chain tighter), and now it looks funny? Maybe I'm misunderstanding... Don't worry about it, even if it skipped a link, it's not bad unless you try and start the motor with it like that. Just finish taking everything apart, and try not to loose the cam chain down the hole when you do pull those sprockets out.
