1. set the old bushings on fire (propane torch)
2. wait until it melts, then cut out all the junk
3. use a hacksaw to saw off the two inner metal rings and tap them out with a flat head screw driver
4. lube up the new bushings, and press them in using a vice (I used wood clamps to get them partially in, then beat them with a mallet).
5. insert the metal sleeves into the middle of the bushings.
it took me 3 hours because I didn't have any tools and I had to run around places looking for them.
