what you nay-sayers don't seem to have caught is that the table is the concept. while they may produce the table yet, the consumer application will be more sophisticated tablet laptops. current tablets just use lame touchscreen tech from like 15 years ago.
also... the iphone is being blown ridiculously out of proportion. apple has a tendency to release products well before they should. you wind up paying to get into what's basically a beta test. apple makes some killer products, but it takes them a few generations to get it right. just look at the ipod.
...seriously, it's a 500 dollar smart phone that doesn't have a keypad. typing anything into it is going to be a nightmare, and, like all portable apple products, it will be too fragile for the daily use it will be put through.
