You all make very good points.
My S13 is the only 240 swap I've done, and it wasn't very hard at all. I haven't had one problem with the car since I've done the swap. I'll agree the car does mean a lot to me, seeing as how I put so much time and effort and money into it. The thing is..around here, these cars don't sell fast. Even with paint I don't think I could get 6-7k like you are saying. I have people coming to look at the car saying that they can paint it and that they are happy I have sanded it, so that they have the choice. And then they turn around and offer me 3k for it.
I'm done trying to sell the car now. I've been trying for 2 months and not one serious offer. Just a bunch of trades for lame riced out civics or random jeeps, etc. This S14 was the only thing that appealed to me; and so what if I'm at loss a little bit. Can't make a profit on everything you do. If I trade though, I think I will be happier in the end. A car that I can daily drive, will be very good on gas, won't have to worry about driving it places and bottoming out, and once again I will have all my options open to do whatever I want to the car and have fun again with another project!
