the older VG's are doable...as those old 30ET's are smaller then the newer DETT's....I've seen the pic of the guy on freshalloy's engine...and it's pretty small...compared to a VG30DE that I've looked at.
also, I'm don't remember, but is the old VG30ET a v6? or I6?
because you'll also have to take into consideration the dual exhaust(don't lower your car too much)..or somehow bring them into single...just something to think about
I wouldn't say it "can't" be done....but you really need to consider what you're trying to do...what the goals are. In my opinion, besides originality...there really is no reason to do this swap.
