Home Depot, or Lowes has this thin foam board with paper on the outside used for wall,a/c insulation. It's lite weight and I bet if you can make a template you can get it all out of one piece scoring the spots where it dips down etc and it will just fold, you don't even have to cut the board in pieces. Just glue the carpet to it and it should work out nice.

This one turned out awesome I like it a lot. I tried so many combos in the rear interior of my car but this idea is better than any I had.
