That's simply a waste. You are living in 1950. Oil technology is better. Oil filtration is better. Engine parts are better and last longer. Air filters are better. Everything is better.
If you think you honestly need to change the oil every month when you're just mainly using the car to drive around town (like me), you're delusional. Now, if we're talking about a race car that hits the track 3 times a month, that's a completely different story.
But that's NOT what we're talking about. The question was if you can drive 3000 miles in an SR. You said you'd need an oil change. And I still say that's a huge load of shit. You do NOT need to stop in Kansas on the way from NY to CA to get new dinosaurs poured into your crankcase. Simple as that.
