So your saying go to the shop, tell them not to do the repairs and ask for the money from the insurance company?

damn how can I pull this off if they have started on repairs? (which I think they did)

Upward a couple grand? how is that possible? Now you got me thinking.......

I'm still stuck with finding transportation while my car gets fixed (if I opted for those options).

edit: Now that I think about it, I'm probably stuck with my car getting fixed at the shop. Since the shop works with my insurance do give an estimate and repairs at the same time. Plus they work with my rental who is only loaning out the car as long as my car is in the shop. Also my case is not finsh and nobody has claimed to be liable (I'M NOT LIABLE). However its up to the ending of the case to decide which insurance will pay for my damages. Now if this was just me running into a deer or a friend driving my car and hitting a crub. Then I would collect the money and do the repairs myself, with some help of course. I dunno man.....I guess I'm still out of it. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

What would happen if my car was deemed totaled?
