Most of your stopping power comes from the front.  I had the same question/concerns as you did, until I asked someone.

Most people change there rear rotors to some slotted and/or drill brembo's with stock caliper, but better pads.  

When you say Brembo...do you mean the big brake kit for the 240SX?....if so people opt for Z32 brakes because they are cheaper and they can opt for the brembo rotors also.
