seriously, if you guys don't relate to this, you're obviously not married/in a committed relationship.
Reasons to do what he did:
a)See if you've still got game enough to get a "banging little 5' 2" Latin hotness." (Married folks need to reassure themselves that they're still desirable from time to time)
b)Make a fool of others who fail.
c)Getting numbers doesn't mean anything but an ego boost as long as they get destroyed (not just tossed where some stranger can harass the person) rather than used.
This goes for both men and women. I've actually caught my fiancee doing it before, and it doesn't bother me because I know, 1. I do it too, and 2. it means nothing since she's choosing to marry me. Just cause you've settled down doesn't mean you can't get some 'exercise' every now and again. As long as the intention is simply to see if you've still got it, there's no harm. If you think otherwise I think lay off the Benny Hinn for a while.
