I agree that 712's are your best bet.  They are a good all around tire that will give you decent wear (and good wet traction).  The 730s, SO3's and $$$$.  Azenis are unlikely to last more than 10,000 mi. - and are SCARY in the wet after they are worn.

OEM pads are decent - I'm not a fan of buying the absolute cheapest thing...
