with a KA you can run the 86 AR of the 2871, most Sr's with that turbo see full boost around 4~4.2k and its a 400whp model... but with a KA you should be seeing mid to lower 3's on full boost.
for the mean time I say get a small turbo for the move... you know somethin cheap because stock internals wont hold even 300whp for that long
and a safc2 really isnt "tuning" ....so I hope you send the ECU off or something better.
if you want the 3071 I heard people love the 63 AR a lot
