Umm, I do that daily. If your shifting before 4,500, your just not having any fun. There's a revlimiter...if you take that off and rev past where it used to be, yeah you can break stuff but you can rev till you hit it and you'll be fine.
Change oil (and filter) religiously and the car will be fine.
BTW, for normal driving I shift between 2.5k-3.5k
